Discover Erquy in Brittany by the coast

Looking for sea, nature and culture? You have made the right choice! The Saint Pabu Plage campsite is located only 4 kilometres from the centre of Erquy, a multi-faceted seaside resort in the Côtes-d'Armor where escape and sensations go hand in hand. This summer, say a big "YES" to all your desires in Brittany!

Discover Erquy and its fine sandy beaches from our campsite in Brittany by the coast

Ten beaches, large stretches of fine sand or creeks, lively or wild, line the Erquy coast. In addition to swimming, you can enjoy a multitude of water sports: light sailing, paddle, kitesurfing, sand yachting, kayaking, longe-côte, fishing, scuba diving... And the icing on the cake, our campsite has direct access to the huge beach of Saint Pabu!

A lively resort all year round

All year round, many events punctuate the life of the resort: concerts, shows, festivals, Breton celebrations, exhibitions, sporting events... Events not to be missed: the Estivales de Volley (July), the Place aux Mômes festival (free shows for families all summer), the Jumping d'Erquy Plage (September), the Festival de la BD Erquy en bulle (October).

Stroll around the port of Erquy

Both a seaside resort and a port, Erquy invites you to take a deep breath of sea air. On the lively quay of the fishing port, numerous bars and restaurants invite you to stroll. You can watch the arrival of the boats and the unloading of the fish. The fourth largest fishing port in France and the capital of the scallop, Erquy hosts an annual festival dedicated to the scallop, which is an emblem of local gastronomy and a favourite with gourmets.

The small Breton town that sees life in pink

The pink sandstone, a real natural treasure of the bay, gives all its cachet to the houses of Erquy, the fishermen's houses, the seaside villas, the chapels and the castle of Bienassis. Until 1930, blocks of stone and sandstone aggregates were extracted from the Lourtuais quarries, then transported by wagon to be shipped to the major cities of France. Even today, several streets in Paris are paved with them.

Local delicacies at the Erquy market

Take advantage of the Erquy market to taste Breton specialities and meet local producers. All year round, a large market is held on Saturday mornings in the centre of Erquy. In summer, the Artisan'Halles offer a market of producers and craftsmen every Monday, from 5 to 8 pm, in the Erquy market hall. All this is accompanied by musical and theatrical entertainment.

Not to be missed: the Cap d'Erquy- Cap Fréhel

Labelled as a Grand Site de France since 2019, the Cap d'Erquy offers breathtaking walks, with an unobstructed view over the Bay of Saint-Brieuc. From the port of Erquy to the imposing fortress of Fort La Latte, escape is guaranteed at every turn! The GR34, the famous customs path, takes hikers to discover the pink sandstone cliffs and their breathtaking views, the picturesque ports of Erquy and Dahouët, the famous blue lakes of Erquy (former quarries), and then on to the castle of Fort-la-Latte, one of the most famous Breton castles. Only one word comes to mind: grandiose!
