On foot or by bike
For sports activities...
ON FOOT:
From the Saint Pabu Plage campsite, with direct access to the beach, you can see the animals and plants of Brittany and press the pause button for a while. In 1 minute flat, pick up your bucket and spade, cross the road and starting digging in the sand! There are plenty of things to find if you go shore fishing.
Put on your walking shoes and set off along the GR34 trail opposite the campsite. It runs along all the coast and offers some great views.
In the town of Erquy you can book your tennis lessons and even try your hand at BEACH TENNIS (in summer only).
On the cliffs beside the blue lakes, our most daring visitors enjoy rock climbing. Climbers of all levels can practise lead climbing and top rope climbing. This natural site should be explored on foot. The Blue Lakes educational trail tells the story of the quarries and the stonemasons. The pink sandstone quarries, at the edge of the cliffs, were mined from the late 18th century until 1974 to build the seaside resort and housing.
Sport also has pride of place in Pléneuf Val André with one of the most beautiful golf courses in Europe, plus clay tennis courts. On the beach the kites come out during the 'Val Vent festival every year in May.
BY BIKE:
The cycling paths and green ways or the Vélomaritime EV4 cycling trail are a chance for lovers of adventure to see the region differently. The trails are designed for cyclists of all levels. The local cycling paths cover short distances with a low elevation gain, so visitors can easily ride to the local heritage sites of interest. Cyclists wanting to get away from it all or take on all challengers can cover the 1500 km trail from Roscoff to the Belgian border and the North Sea coast. For the less ambitious an E-SPIDER electric bike will bring you all the sensations of cycling with a lot less effort : 06 51 20 42 14. This bike is a sensation! The Saint Pabu Plage campsite also offers the loan of mechanical and electric bikes!
