Another treat of Breton gastronomy is cider, this low-alcohol sparkling drink is back in fashion. Thanks to dynamic cider producers, this drink is now known and recognized beyond our borders. A few kilometres from the campsite, you will find the Cidrerie de la Baie in Planguenoual.
This organic farming establishment will introduce you to the world of cider making through visits. From the work in the orchards to the discovery of the cider house, cider will no longer hold any secrets for you. And to finish, the reward will be the tasting of their wide range of products (ciders, apple juice, jellies, aperitifs, brandies...). The Benoit cider factory is located in Lamballe, this family business opens its doors to visit its exploitation from Monday to Friday from 10H to 18H. The cider produced is of course organic, the farm offers many other products (apple juice, Chouchenn, brandy but also perry, honey and jam ...).
In Saint Cast Le Guildo, come to the orchards of the Landes farm, here Jehan Lefèvre transforms his apples and elaborates multiple recipes (ciders, apple juice, aperitifs, perry, vinegar, jam...). Today, he is even associated with the Diaoulig craft brewery, one of the many microbreweries in the area. The latter has a range of five products: a brown, a white, a blonde, a cervoise and a strawberry beer. Many of them are located around the campsite. La Fréheloise brewery is located in Fréhel. It opens its doors to the public every Friday morning in summer.
The brewery explains how it works and how it prepares its beer. They produce white, blonde, brown and amber beers. Come to their shop-bar to discover the joys of a craft beer. In the direction of Saint Brieuc, another brewery will make you discover its secrets. The Launay brewery produces a traditional and artisanal beer. This 100% Breton and 100% organic beer offers a range of six beers distributed from Erquy (at Ti Fournil) to the famous Vieilles Charrues festival. Other beers are flowing in the area, such as the La Guernouillette brewery in Saint Brieuc (more than 30 recipes of traditional beers) known for its seaweed beer or the Uncle Brewery which is starting to export throughout Brittany.
